Ultera Systems, the leading tape array controller and tape array system supplier, announced today that it has been awarded a Computer Technology Review "Resellers Choice" designation in the December 1999 issue for its a new tape RAID solution for Exabyte’s 690D DLTtape™ library. The award follows a Resellers Choice nod for Ultera’s LibraryMaster™ array in July 1999.
In the feature, titled "Ultera Tapes It Up With Exabyte," CTR states, "The library array solution is the result of a collaboration between Exabyte and Ultera engineers that empowers 690D customers to scale up to supercharge their backup operations by upgrading to full tape RAID capability in a plug-and-play installation." The result, says CTR, is "the first turnkey DLTtape RAID product on the market."
